When a smartphone is locked, it displays the password input. When you press the emergency button, you’ll see an icon on the right that you may customize. Enter any contacts you wish to save as emergency contacts after that. You may keep the phone numbers of your relatives, acquaintances, and even close friends.
In the event of an accident, or if your phone is misplaced in an unfamiliar region, the contacts recorded in the emergency phone book can be reached. I hope I was of assistance to someone.
Take for example the case of someone who had been running at dawn and was injured and no one could be reached by emergency responders because their phone was locked.
It is quite likely that someone will be engaged in an accident, have a terrible fall, go missing, or be in an emergency scenario that necessitates phoning friends or family.
In an emergency scenario, it will be impossible for anybody wanting to assist to call any contacts on the phone since it can’t be unlocked, since most people believe that password-protecting mobile phones is necessary to prevent important information from falling into the wrong hands.
As a result, smartphones have made it more easy to add emergency contact information to phones. The phone numbers of individuals you’ve added may be accessed without unlocking your phone from the lock screen.
Aside from a phone number, you can provide your address, blood type and other medical information. An emergency contact can be contacted without unlocking a phone by accessing this information on the lock screen.
Configuring your emergency contacts on an Android phone is dependent on the Android version (7.0 and 8.0 support it) as well as the model of your phone.
You can add your contact information to your Android device’s emergency function if you can’t locate an emergency contact field in your device’s settings:
Your phone is locked.
Select “Emergency” from the lock screen’s bottom-left corner.
“Emergency Information” may be accessed by double-tapping after unlocking your phone, enter your medical information.
Click on “Contacts” to add a contact from your address book or emergency contacts and then touch “Enter”. The number of contacts that you may add is up to you!
“Emergency” is accessed by double-tapping on “Emergency information” after sliding up on the lock screen.
“Lock screen and security > Info & app shortcuts > Owner information” may be found in Settings. When you’re finished, click “Done.”
The “ICE (In Case of Emergency)” contacts group in the contacts app must be added if you want someone to be able to call your emergency contacts from the lock screen.
To begin, open the Contacts app, then press the “Groups” icon in the upper-right corner of the app’s screen. Add your emergency contacts to the “ICE – emergency contacts” group. Once you’ve done that, click “Save.”
